We care about your dignity in your crisis.

Who We Are

As we came together to serve our neighbors in crisis, we realized we could make a greater impact by clearly defining our mission, values, and services. We’re not here to offer one-size-fits-all solutions—we listen, we collaborate, and we help you navigate options that protect your dignity and support your goals.

Community Property Rescue is a mission-driven California Benefit Corporation created to walk alongside individuals facing housing crises or difficult property situations. Our founder, Larry Monteforte, has been helping families navigate complex housing and foreclosure issues for over a decade. What began as one man’s commitment to meet people with compassion and real solutions has grown into a dedicated team of professionals passionate about doing business differently.

Our Values

We’re guided by these principles:

  • Grace for where people are in their journey

  • Recognition of each person’s unique context

  • Human dignity and worth

  • A shared journey, not a transactional one

  • Transparency and honest

  • People over profit

Many of our team members are motivated by their faith, but our work is for everyone. We’re not here to preach—we’re here to partner with you. Although if you invite us to pray with you, we won’t say no!

Why Aren’t We a Nonprofit?

We believe in win-win solutions. While we do offer free services in some cases, others are paid for—those costs support the time, expertise, and infrastructure required for us to truly help. We formed a California Benefit Corporation—a type of for-profit company that legally commits to a mission beyond profit.

We are business professionals who also care deeply about our community. We chose this model because it allows us to operate sustainably while putting ethical guardrails in place for everyone. As a benefit corp, we’re required to produce regular transparency reports and to demonstrate how we’re serving the public good. In some cases homeowners may even qualify to receive monetary assistance to hire an attorney on their behalf to review all documents. For example, senior citizens are one of these groups.

We do business with integrity, and we work hard to earn your trust. We aren’t here to capitalize on the struggles of those in the community. This isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about doing what’s right to truly walk alongside those in crisis.

We can help.
